Boat Rental FAQ

Read frequently asked questions related to boat, pontoon, and fishing charter rentals in the Saint Pete Beach area.
  • What is there to do in our area?
    You can hit one of multiple sandbars, visit private islands (Keys), grab drinks or dinner on the water, and see dolphins or manatees running around if you're lucky. Popular local St. Pete Beach area restaurants include Tiki Docks, The Island Grille, The Wharf, Red, White & Booze, Sea Dog, Shrimpy's, and Doc Ford's.
  • How far can I go?
    We let boats go as far as Johns Pass to the north, and Ft Desoto to the south, also not on the East side of 275, so a very large areas with many things to do.
  • Do you allow fishing?
    We have one boat that allows fishing with no more than 6 people on board.
  • Is there shade on the boat?
    All boats come with biminis, and the upgraded boats come with dual biminis.
  • Do they have GPS?
    All boats come with Garmin GPS units which we can map out a course for the day for you, and we ask you to download the Navionics app on your phone as well.
  • Are there places to eat on the water?
    Within our area there are 9 different places to stop and eat on the water with a 10th currently building docks as well.
  • Do you allow tubing and skiing?
    Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover any watersports like the above mentioned, but we are happy to set you up with someone who does do that.
  • What licensure do I need to drive the boat?
    It depends on your age, but if born 1988 or after you must have a NASBLA course and it can't be the temporary license, it must be the full license. It is only $19.95 for the license and can be done online.
  • How old must driver be?
    Driver must be 25 years of age.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    You can bring your dog for a $30 dog fee on one boat with a max of 7 passengers.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We ask for 96 hour notice.
  • Do I get deposit back if weather is bad?
    If a rental is cancelled due to weather, we always refund being that is completely out of a renters control, and the last thing we want to do is to put anyone in harm’s way.
  • Does the boat have a cooler?
    Boat does not have a cooler, but we rent a cooler filled with ice for $40.
  • Does the price include fuel?
    Fuel is not included, but we do use Honda engines and they are very efficient. Gas usually is not too bad between $30-$100.
  • How much experience does a driver have to have?
    The driver must know all safety rules and channel markings, etc. and have experience of driving similar types of boats. We will check to make sure that the driver knows these things in order to keep everyone safe. We do offer captains to people as well, so that could always be an option.
  • Do your boats have radios?
    All our boats have radios, USB charging ports, Garmin GPS units, Bimini tops.
  • Can we go to Egmont?
    For safety reasons, we do not let the boats go to Egmont Key unless there is a licensed captain on board the boat.
